Why?
Above will be a catalogue of the work I have done restoring
antique sewing machines. During an ongoing health problem I
found I was spending much more time at home and not able to
go out and about as much as I used to.
I needed something sewn
last year so decided to pull out my mums old machine that
had been under my bed for about 7 years. I took this to
bits, literally down to the individual components oiled and
repaired any faults.
I enjoyed doing this very
much, a kind of therapy. Once this machine was finished I
decided to buy another one, just to restore. Again I enjoyed
this so much I bought another one, so on and so on.
Above will be index of the
machines and brief history of each machine.
If you know of anyone selling an old mechanical machine no
matter in what state, please let me know and I will give a
contribution for it.
